I started The Outcast and couldn’t put it down. I love books about the Amish and this book didn’t disappoint. The book is a modern day version of The Scarlett Letter and is a very enjoyable. It had me from the first chapter.
The book is about a
young girl who is Amish and has a baby out of wedlock. She is then kicked out
of the community. It seems that she is betrayed by everyone in the community,
even her family. She escapes to a woman’s house that she really doesn’t even
know and this woman shows her love. The book is beautifully written and shares
with us the incredible forgiveness that we find through God’s grace.
I couldn’t put this book
down. The book was an easy read and very enjoyable. I would recommend this book
for everyone.
I received a free copy of "The Outcast" by Jolina
Petersheim from Tyndale in exchange for my honest review. I did not receive any
other form of compensation.
Thank you for the wonderful review; I so appreciate it. Hope you're enjoying summer!
