Dandelions on the Wind

I just finished reading a really good book. It is a very short book and it is very easy to read, but it definitely was worth the read.
"Dandelions on the Wind", a novella and the first book of The Quilted Heart series, by Mona Hodgson is a very easy and enjoyable read. The story is mainly about Maren, an immigrant mail-order-bride from Denmark who comes to the United States to marry and then is rejected by her groom to be because of her eyesight problems. She begins living with, and helping out a lady who is caring for her adorable granddaughter and trying to keep up the farm. The son in law abandoned his daughter and mother-in-law after his wife dies, but comes back after many years to make amends.
This story was a very sweet and a easy to read.  It seemed to be over before I even got really into the book. My hope is the next in the series will pick up where this one left off.

I was sent this free Kindle book from the publisher, Waterbrook Multnomah, and their blog, Bloggingforbooks.com for my honest review.
