Be the Mom - Worth the read

Okay Moms - Here is a book that is well worth the read.

Be the Mom by Tracey Lanter Eyster deals with how to move past feeling unappreciated, unnoticed and overwhelmed.

The book goes into 7 different "mom traps" and the steps to avoid these traps. It seems like I continually fall into mom “traps”… martyr, comparing myself to other moms, trying to be super mom, etc. I was thrilled to see that other moms make the same mistakes as me. It was awesome to have someone who has been there and can offer me hope and advice on how to stop. Tracey is “real” with us and shares from her heart. Another thing that she does, and does well, is place throughout the book very applicable scriptures that can be applied immediately to my life.

Tracey writes in such a manner that you feel like she is your best friend and you all are just talking. This book was a quick read, but also has questions at the end of each chapter that allow you to be real and apply the steps that she gives. I would recommend this book to all mothers, but especially mothers with young children.

I received a complimentary copy of the book for review purposes from Tyndale House.
